Criteria for Acceptance
Guide for Authors — International Network of Doctors Journal (INODJ)
The International Network of Doctors Journal (INODJ) is committed to publishing high-quality scholarly work that contributes to the advancement of medical science, healthcare, and scientific knowledge. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated according to their scientific merit, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, ethical integrity, and compliance with the journal’s editorial requirements.
Acceptance for publication depends on the following criteria:
1. Originality and Novelty
Manuscripts must present original work or provide a meaningful synthesis, interpretation, or critical evaluation of existing evidence. Submissions must not contain plagiarized material, fabricated data, falsified results, or unauthorized use of other authors’ work.
2. Scientific Quality and Relevance
The manuscript must address a clearly defined research question, clinical problem, or scholarly topic relevant to the scope of INODJ. The work should demonstrate scientific value and contribute to medical knowledge, healthcare practice, public health, or future research.
3. Methodological Rigor
Research articles must employ appropriate study designs, sampling methods, data collection procedures, and statistical analyses, as applicable. The methodology should be described clearly enough to allow readers to assess the validity and reliability of the findings.
4. Accuracy and Presentation of Results
Results must be presented accurately, objectively, and consistently with the methods used. Tables, figures, statistical findings, and interpretations should be clear, appropriately labelled, and supported by the data. Conclusions must be justified by the findings and should not overstate their implications.
5. Ethical Compliance
Research involving human participants, animals, identifiable personal information, or other ethically sensitive material must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Ethical approval and informed consent statements must be provided where applicable. Authors must also disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding sources.
6. Appropriate Referencing
All sources must be cited accurately and consistently according to the journal’s prescribed referencing style. References should be relevant, verifiable, and appropriate to the subject. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of citations and bibliographic information.
7. Clarity and Manuscript Organization
Manuscripts must be written in clear, coherent, and professional English. The structure should follow the requirements for the relevant article category. Appropriate titles, abstracts, keywords, headings, tables, figures, and supplementary materials should be included where required.
8. Compliance with Author Guidelines
Submissions must comply with INODJ’s instructions regarding manuscript preparation, article categories, formatting, authorship, declarations, and supporting documents. Manuscripts that do not meet essential submission requirements may be returned to authors for correction before further consideration.
9. Publication Ethics and Authorship
All listed authors must have made appropriate scholarly contributions and approved the submitted manuscript. Duplicate submission, redundant publication, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate authorship, and other forms of publication misconduct are unacceptable.
10. Peer Review and Editorial Evaluation
Manuscripts may undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by peer review, where applicable under the journal’s review policy. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript’s quality, relevance, originality, ethical compliance, and reviewers’ and editors’ assessments. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to editorial or reviewer comments.
11. Revisions and Final Acceptance
When revisions are requested, authors must respond to the comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe, where applicable. Acceptance may depend on satisfactory revision and final editorial approval. Meeting the submission criteria does not guarantee acceptance.
Final Decision
The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection rests with the editorial team of the International Network of Doctors Journal. The journal aims to ensure that published articles meet appropriate standards of scientific quality, transparency, research integrity, and relevance to its readership.
Submission of a manuscript to INODJ does not guarantee acceptance or publication. All editorial decisions are made in accordance with the journal’s applicable editorial policies and publication ethics requirements.
